The name

Why Siderelo?

Siderelo takes its name from sidereal time, the way astronomers keep time by Earth’s rotation relative to the stars. A sidereal day lasts about 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds, almost four minutes shorter than the 24-hour day on our clocks.

Astronomers use it to work out when stars will be highest in the sky.
